About the Business
Ciret Limited was established in 1961 as Homekey Limited, initially supplying top quality brushes throughout the south of England. From its Portsmouth base, the business expanded to become an established supplier to decorators merchants, builders merchants and independent hardware stores throughout the UK and in 2005 moved to our present location in Havant, just outside Portsmouth. In this same year Homekey was acquired by the Ciret Group and was soon renamed Ciret Limited. The Ciret tradition has grown from an invention reaching back for millennia. People have always seen the need to beautify their homes and to do so good painting tools have always been essential. Up until 100 years ago approximately 90% of these tools consisted of paint brushes, which along with the hand axe, is one of the oldest tools known to man. Today decorating tools comprise a wide diversity of products, to which Ciret has made a significant contribution in developing.
